Care Details:
- Temperature: Ideal range is 75 to 85°F (24 to 29°C). They thrive in warmer environments, encouraging more frequent eating, faster growth, and quicker molting.
- Humidity: Specific humidity requirement for Neoholothele incei is around 70-80%. Remember, water dishes are not necessary, but they pose no harm if used. I personally do not use them.
- Housing: As a terrestrial species, babies thrive in a 1 oz to 4oz deli container with needle-made ventilation. Remember, free containers are available at checkout upon request. Larger tarantulas need an enclosure 2 to 3 times their size, allowing some flexibility.
Diet: I feed them a variety of crickets and cockroaches, including Dubia, Red-runner, Lobster, and Madagascar hissing roaches. For the babies, smaller prey like baby crickets and baby roaches are perfect. If you can only access one type of prey, that's absolutely fine. In cases where prey is too large, simply crush the head and leave it in the enclosure; your Neoholothele incei will handle the rest. Always remove uneaten food to prevent mold. And for an occasional treat, a pinky or hopper mouse is a nice variety, but remember not to overdo it.
